How long does a fibreglass pool last?
The composite shell itself can last 50 years or more. The gel-coat finish typically looks its best for 20–25 years with balanced water chemistry — and unlike plaster, it never needs resurfacing.
Can you install a fibreglass pool in a small backyard?
Often, yes. Compact plunge and cocktail models are designed for tighter lots. The main requirement is crane access to lift the shell over your home — we assess this carefully during consultation.
Will the colour fade over time?
Quality gel-coat is UV-stable and holds its colour beautifully for decades, provided water chemistry stays balanced. We show you exactly how during handover.
Is the surface slippery?
